Cheryl Chinen

Cheryl Chinen has been actively involved in many facets of the real estate industry for over two decades. Her long history of involvement in the commercial real estate industry began when she was working for the U.S. Army in South Korea as the financial/construction division head, with responsibilities including the purchase or sale and construction of recreation facilities, restaurants and multi-purpose buildings. In her role at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), she gained additional experience and insight working with institutions nationwide on construction grants. Cheryl most recently worked with UT Health, helping grow their medical presence in the Texas Medical Center and surrounding communities by helping secure the purchase of land, buildings and retail office space and negotiating physician office leases across the Houston-Galveston area. In addition to working with retail, office and specialty clients, Cheryl works with investment clients ranging from sales and purchases of properties, to larger retail shopping centers.

Joining Designed Realty Group-Commercial Division was a natural progression in Cheryl’s successful career and the perfect opportunity to use her knowledge to serve clients. Cheryl is knowledgeable, motivated, a tough negotiator, and responsive to her clients.

Cheryl grew up in the Houston area and returned after several wonderful work opportunities abroad. She earned her MBA from the University of Maryland. She is currently working on her CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. She is active in the community and is involved in community organizations and charities. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
